Dry needling is inserting very small needles into problem areas of your body. It is different from acupuncture in that dry needling treats the problem tissue at its source, and acupuncture moves Chi. A Total Healing Solution compliments other treatments or therapies that you are receiving. More than just a trigger points are being addressed, muscles, tendons, nerves, any "pathological" tissue is treated. I have studied many forms of dry needling theories and use which ever one will get you optimal results.

Other services that we offer include direct access physical therapy, which means that you do not need a prescription to receive our services. Auricular therapy which uses seeds or pellets on a small adhesive strip to certain parts of your ears to treat symptoms and conditions. This is offered without needles so that you can try our services even if you have a fear of needles or if you want a child to try our services. Reiki is offered during dry needling services or as a distance heling. Herbal consultations and herbal remedies along with support are offered for your physical therapy condition or any other condition that you are suffering from.
The services provided are designed to meet the unique health needs of each client, allowing the body to heal itself without the use of pharmaceuticals.
Insurance is not accepted; you can pay with a Health Savings Card. If you are coming with a prescription for dry needling a reimbursement is not guaranteed. If supporting documentation is needed there is a cost for staff to write any extra letters, based on their time spent.

My name is Dr. Heather Setzenfand, PT, DPT, MS, RDH, IADN Cert, Specialist, Herbalist, Reiki Master, owner and creator of A Total Healing Solutions. (ATHS) I have a doctorate in physical therapy, with direct access in the state of Pennsylvania, which means that you do not need a prescription to use my services. My specialties are in dry needling with a focus on neuromuscular, head and neck issues, lumbopelvic issues; and more. Currently I have over fifteen years' experience working with adults and children in various settings from schools to home health, and institutional settings. I also have multiple specialties with dry needling I am certified through Intricate Art Spine and Body Solutions for pelvic dysfunction in men and women, along with cervical and cranial specialty through the Integrative Dry Needling program.
