Curious About Natural and Long-Lasting Erectile Dysfunction Treatment?
Part 1
These are the stories that I heard in my clinic. It first starts with “I don’t know what I need,” or I read on your site that you treat Erectile Dysfunction (ED), but I am not sure what that means. How can I tell If I am a candidate, or how your services can help me? I get it, this is sensitive subject and you are quietly suffering along with your partner. There is good news, I can help!
Let’s start with my typical client. My typical client is stressed, frustrated, skeptical, or even embarrassed. They aren’t sure what to try or what will work for them. I understand. From clients who have taken that magic “blue pill” to only be left with disappointment, or an erection at the wrong time, not even getting one at all, or having severe side effects; that can be scary. People have died from taking those “blue pills!” That can add a whole layer of stress to your situation. Combine that with other diagnosis that you may have like anxiety, depression, or diabetes; you may have been told that you weren’t a good candidate for the traditional methods or treatment. You might just not want your love life to cycle around when the “blue pills” kicks in, or how many are you “allowed” to be prescribed in a month, or even the monthly expense. Why is someone other than you and your partner deciding your level of intimacy?
Let’s talk about a more permanent solution for this problem. Wouldn’t it be nice to wake-up and know that your body is healing and to know that you are on the path to being in control of all aspects of your life? Let’s talk about what is probably going “wrong,” or what most of my clients present with by the time that they contact me for intervention. Stress (Sympathetic Nervous System) is a necessary part of life, but when it is out of balance with calm in our life (Parasympathetic Nervous System), then we say that you are in Sympathetic Hyperactivity. What this means is that your bodies fight, flight, freeze, and fawn response are not balanced, with your rest and digest nervous system. Bad things happen when you stay in Sympathetic Hyperactivity too long. This is primarily controlled by the Vagus Nerve, Cranial Nerve X. Which is what I treat on all of my clients no matter what condition you come to see me for. You need a break in the cycle to allow your body to remember what it is like to be in a parasympathetic dominant state. That is my first goal, break the stress cycle, that allows the body to start healing itself.
Once we get the body in a calmer state, then we can work on the underlying issues that can be causing this dysfunction. My treatment starts with the most dysfunctional parts of the body which is typically on your back. Almost all of my clients have tight muscles around their neck, shoulders, and low back. Most clients have had these muscles in a state of dysfunction for so long that they don’t even realize they are suffering. Most of these sites are also high in parasympathetic nerve groups, when activated can help you return to a state of calm. I will release these imbalanced areas of the body. This allows trigger points to be addressed, blood flow problems, and muscle imbalances to be treated. I will start “low and slow” with the needles not to overwhelm your system. Tight muscles sometimes don’t want to be released, they have been that way for awhile and “congestion” gets builds up. What is congestion you might be wondering? It is term that I use to encompasses everything your body is not able to process or detox in an appropriate amount of time. This buildup of congestion can lead to pain, swelling, and even decreased blood flow to areas and more!
Every part of this “congestion” has to be processed by your body, and we don’t want to overwhelm your detox systems. This is why I start low and slow. Plus, if you are VERY stressed even a few needles can make huge changes in your system. Then I get to the nerves, muscles, and blood flow to address the direct areas of your problem. No needles will go into your penis we can access the muscles around the area to get the results you want. The great news is that most of these muscles can be addressed with just your back exposed. You can wear a “g- string” type underwear, your I can cover you with towels- modesty will be maintained. When treating ED, the suggested protocol is twice a week for 8-12 weeks. If you are traveling to see me, or you would like faster results; the appointment’s length and intervals can be modified. We will change areas and muscle groups as they arise. Sometimes we need to address back dysfunction that can be leading to pinched nerves that are the root cause of your problem. Don’t worry I treat the body as a whole and I know how each system can affect your desired outcome. This may be a difficult concept for some people to understand, as to why I am treating the vagus nerve, the back, and other areas of dysfunction. What you haven’t been told is that your body is trying to correct every dysfunction, not just your largest problem. What that means for dry needling therapy is that your sleep might improve before you erection does. Your body fixes what ITS major problem is first, regardless of what brough you in to my office. Your body knows what it is doing, trust the process.
What can you do to help these treatments to be successful? You can make sure that your blood sugar is in a great range. Some of my clients with blood sugar instability have reported that with regular dry needling sessions, their numbers have stabilized, and some have worked with their doctors to then have their medicines decrease. You can take small steps to manage stress, I might give you some exercises to work on flexibility or strength, I might offer education or recommendations on supplements, herbal support is available in the office or can be customized for your condition, or nutritional support. Your body needs to be treated a whole and needs to have all of its needs met, so that it can run optimally. In my practice, I strive for optimal results, not just “it feels better.” My goal is for you to live your best life. Contact me if you would like to see how dry needling can improve all aspects of your life. I offer free consultation phone calls to see if I can help you with your situation.
