Anyone with neck pain knows what it is like to hurt all day. In my experience the day is hard. It hurts to look forward, it hurts to turn your head, your neck hurts just from supporting the weight of your head. What do you do? Do you go to your medical doctor and get imagining, medication, and hopefully a prescription to physical therapy?
Or do you seek treatment only to “sleep wrong” and you are in the pain cycle again. The one of the problems is that there is such a thing as muscle memory. Your muscles remember what it was like being out of the correct alignment and they go back to what they remember. If you have tried all of these and you achieved some relief, but it was short lived; I recommend dry needling. The needle is an extension of the clinician’s fingers. While they can manipulate the muscles and encourage the joint to return to is best position, the needle forces the muscles to relax and accept the new position. It releases trigger points, if they are present, and allows the muscle to start the movement from group zero.
