Whether you have pain from a tear or trauma in a tendon, the tough connective tissue that connects muscles to bone. Or if you have trauma or a tear in a ligament, fibrous connective tissue that connects bone to bone; dry needling can help.
When a dry needle is inserted into the tendon or ligament, blood flow is increased to that area. When blood flow is increased that means that nutrients can be given to the problematic areas and wastes can be taken away. There is also significant research, and in my experience on the reduction of pain with this modality. Dry needling also reduces inflammation in the area which directly reduces pain.
